DP World is seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our UK Head Office team in Central London. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing UK corporation tax compliance, IFRS tax reporting, and providing high-quality tax advisory across our diverse and multi-entity UK group. With responsibilities covering corporate tax, VAT, payroll taxes, and tax governance, this role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration across our port, logistics, and investment businesses. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping and maintaining a strong tax control environment while supporting strategic business growth. How you will contribute Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns across multiple entities (ports & terminals, logistics, and holding companies), ensuring timely filings and maximising reliefs. Manage quarterly and annual tax reporting, including group forecasts, IFRS current and deferred tax provisions, and statutory audit support. Oversee and coordinate submission of UK group-level tax returns (e.g., CIR, group relief, loss allocation, group payments), and communicate outcomes to local and international stakeholders. Support and manage tax aspects of transfer pricing, SAO, Pillar 2, CbCR, CFC, WHT, and the UK Tax Strategy. Assist with budgeting and forecasting by reviewing tax provisions and calculating tax numbers for periodic financial reviews. Manage timely preparation and reconciliation of VAT returns for the UK Regional Office and ensure correct VAT treatment across AP. Oversee the preparation and submission of payroll-related tax returns (PSA, P11D), STBV tracking, and advise on employment tax issues including IR35/off-payroll working assessments. Ensure tax governance by maintaining evidence for SAO certifications, updating the UK tax risk register, and supporting documentation and control testing for key tax risks. Stay abreast of legislative changes and ensure proactive communication and compliance implementation across departments. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external advisors to provide tax input for business initiatives and strategic projects. What will you bring Professional tax qualification (CTA or ATT) with at least 7+ years post-qualification experience in corporate tax. Strong in-house experience within an MNE group or equivalent advisory experience from a professional services firm. Solid technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation, IFRS tax reporting, and understanding of international tax frameworks (e.g. BEPS, Pillar 2). Working knowledge of VAT and payroll taxes in a corporate environment. Familiarity with Alphatax, Alphabridge, Oracle TRCS, or similar tax technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to independently resolve complex tax matters with sound judgment. Strong communication skills – articulate in both verbal and written formats, capable of simplifying complex tax matters for non-specialist stakeholders. Detail-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with precision and accountability. Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven mindset, with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and fluent in English (additional languages are a plus). About The Role DP World London Gateway are recruiting for an Assistant Shift Manager. Reporting to the Shift Manger this role will manage employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring adherence to safety and operating policies and procedures. You will execute shift plans under the direction of the Shift Manager, adapting to changing needs to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with our operational strategy, aiming to meet or exceed KPIs while considering the Port budget. NOTE: this a full-time position with a full shift pattern 12-hours, on rotation 2 days, 2 nights 4 off. How will you contribute: Operational Management Ensure that all aspects of Terminal Operations of the working shift are fully met in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with current safety, security and environmental regulations, policies and risk assessments. Adhere to Operational KPI’s & strategy when controlling operational and contractors’ costs. Ensure that systems and procedures are followed to enable the progress of operations to be monitored by other LGPL staff, customers and authorities. Ensure efficient deployment of labour, operational activities are maximised. Monitor and analyse the following factors on a regular basis: - Quay crane productivity and utilisation. Utilisation of other quay resources. Completion time for vessel operations. Berth occupancy and vessel waiting time before commencement and post completion of operations. Second in command of responsibility for the overall efficiency of Port cargo handling operations. Ensure that oncoming shift team are briefed regarding forthcoming shift operations and the expected outcomes. In conjunction with the Landside Superintendent ensure that all elements of the landside operations are supported with correct number of resources to meet customer’s needs. Team Management and Leadership Deputise for Shift Manager when required. Ensure that the shift teams are aware of their priorities and ensure that procedures are strictly followed to ensure no conflict between departments. Monitor the skill level and resourcing level of the shift team communicating needs to others. Assist or carry out investigations, sickness absence and disciplinary issues, as required. Supporting the management of employee relations for the shift team, in line with legislation, policies, procedures and collective agreements. Direct and drive performance management within the team. Lead and motivate the team, supporting the Shift Manager with people related activities. Select and assign staff, ensuring equal employment opportunities in recruitment, training and promotions. Engage regularly and build strong working relationships with the Union representatives. What you will bring Experience of working in Container Terminals or comparable experience is advantageous. Previous experience working in a fast-moving operational business. Excellent Health, Safety, Security and Environmental knowledge and understanding. Strong, demonstrable proactive, management experience. Excellent systems and IT knowledge and ability. Ability to interface and efficiently communicate and build meaningful relationships at all departmental levels, and present clear and concise reports/presentations. Demonstrable experience of proactive problem solving and innovation, driving operational efficiency. The ability to work with resilience and positivity under pressure and in a fast paced, changeable environment.
